About the brand
CP Company
CP Company started life as Chester Perry by Massimo Osti back in 1974 in Italy. Chester Perry was a little known comic strip, the main character was Chester. This workman went around his workplace coming up with innovative ideas but went unheard. Chester Perry shortened it's name to CP Company when they were issued with a court order because of the resemblence in name with British tennis label Fred Perry, that was popular in the U.K. at the time.
One of Massimo Osti's greatest innovations was the Millie Miglia jacket, inspired by the car race of the same name that raced between cities in Italy. The jacket incorporated goggles in the hood and most recently sunglasses, it has also been fitted with a smog mask, a tape recorder with earphones and another one was fitted with a harness for a fold away scooter. The jacket has stood the test of time and many other CP Company garments have incorporated the goggle design.
